Musik, Familie, Antigua – ein interdisziplinärer Portraitabend mit Gespräch und Musik rund um unseren Artist in Residence.

The portrait evening on 10 July will introduce you to the young British cellist as part of his residency at the Gendarmenmarkt under the motto ‘Music, Family, Football’ – and of course there will also be music-making.

Sheku Kanneh-Mason is in high demand worldwide. He came to prominence in 2018 after performing at the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at Windsor Castle; his performance was watched by nearly two billion people worldwide and received universal acclaim.
Sheku Kanneh-Mason first came to prominence as the winner of the 2016 BBC Young Musician competition. Sheku's 2020 album Elgar reached number 8 in the main UK album charts, making him the first cellist ever to reach the UK top 10.
