Mongolien meets Oriental

"Sedaa" means "voice" in Persian and combines traditional Mongolian and oriental music into a whole that is as unusual as it is fascinating.

The master singers Nasaa Nasanjargal and Naraa Naranbaatar, trained in their Mongolian homeland, together with the Iranian multi-instrumentalist Omid Bahadori, transport you to a truly exotic world between the Orient and the Mongolian steppe.

The foundation of their modern compositions is formed by natural sounds – created with traditional instruments and through the application of ancient vocal techniques of nomadic ancestors, in which one person produces several notes simultaneously.

Vibrant undertone chants and the throat singing hömii, as well as the wistful sounds of the horsehead fiddle morin khuur, merge with pulsating oriental drum rhythms to create a mystical blend of vibrations and moods.
