Hanna Dys is an organist and professor at the Gdansk Academy of Music in the Department of Instrumental Music. In 2009 she received her doctorate in music and in 2016 she completed her habilitation. She is intensively active as an artist and performs solo, symphonic and chamber music concerts.


She is also a teacher at the senior level of the General Music School in Gdansk. Her pupils and students are prize winners of organ competitions. She regularly leads master classes in Poland and abroad, including in Russia, Lithuania and Italy. She is a juror at organ competitions and a consultant at the Center for Artistic Education.

Hanna Dys is a graduate of the Gdansk Academy of Music in the organ class of Prof. Roman Perucki and the University of Music and Theater in Hamburg in the organ class of Prof. Wolfgang Zerer, where she received a diploma with distinction. She is a scholarship holder of the Brahms Foundation, a scholarship for cultural workers and a scholarship from the Ministry of Higher Education and Research. H. Dys is a prize winner and participant in international competitions. She perfected her skills in master classes with professors such as J. Laukvik, O. Latry, D. Roth, K. Bine Bryndorf, L. Ghielmi, among others.

Hanna Dys has performed at the most important organ music festivals in Poland (Kamień Pomorski, Leżajsk, Oliwa and many others) and also in Europe (including Italy, Finland, Russia, Norway, Germany, Moldova and Spain). In her concert activities she promotes Polish organ music and has recorded a monographic CD with works by Mieczysław Surzyński as part of her habilitation process. She took part in a recording project of all the symphonies of Feliks Nowowiejski and Daniel Magnus Gronau.

She works with excellent musicians and conductors such as Kai Buman, Massimiliano Caldim, Frieder Bernius, Łukasz Borowicz, Paweł Skałuba, among others. She is also a cultural animator and holds the position of artistic director at the Organ and Chamber Music Festival in Grudziądz, among others. Her work includes solo and chamber music recordings. She has been nominated twice for the City of Gdansk Prize for Young Artists. She presents the organ of the Olivo Cathedral.
