Music, lecture, reading, conversation
In this lecture with a tour of the exhibition and music, you will learn how the architect designed furniture and much more. The famous architect Karl Friedrich Schinkel designed a large number of classicist buildings and beautifully designed living spaces 200 years ago.
Karl Friedrich Schinkel was also a product designer whose creations can also be seen in the Knoblauchhaus Museum - including furniture, chandeliers, picture frames and the Iron Cross.
But why did Schinkel design such things in the first place? And how did he do it? His design drawings provide information about this!
Salon music on the historic lyre piano accompanies the lecture. During the tour of the exhibition Berlin Life in the Biedermeier Period - Humboldt, Schinkel and the Knoblauch Family, original objects based on Schinkel's designs are presented.
With:
- Birgit Kropmanns | Schinkel expert
- Dr. Jan Mende | Curator of the Knoblauchhaus Museum
- Adrian Robanus | Lyre piano
