THE BEAR by Anton Pavlovich Chekhov

The landowner Popova has a strange way of mourning the death of her husband: In a web of disgust and longing, she fights in an endless loop with a domineering and useless ghost from the past. The lackey Luka does not have an easy time in this tragedy and yet he idolizes his landlady. When the debt collector Smirnov unexpectedly turns up and wants to collect the old debts from the deceased husband, he lights the pent-up anger of the landlady. Luka sees this as his chance to finally prove his love. Smirnov has no idea how far the two will go to defend their belongings.

A masked play with real sweat, fake tears and a little blood.
