Salon Schwarzenberg - Art needs (free)space!
Space is a mystery to us. Defined in countless ways, its meaning lies just as much in expansiveness and openness as in constriction and closure.
An artistic exploration opens up the dimension of free space: isolation, limitation and closure appear alongside community, development and freedom. They are combined with the significance of Haus Schwarzenberg as a free space for artistic expression - the solution to the riddle: art needs (free) space!
This is the credo of the first anniversary exhibition as a prelude to 30 years of Haus Schwarzenberg! The exhibition shows new works by the resident artists and invites visitors to reflect on the significance of closed and open spaces in the context of art, society and history.
