Open air exhibition

At one of the sites of the Revolution, the bilingual permanent exhibition recalls the most important stations of the revolution in the GDR - from the beginnings of protest to the fall of the Wall to the completion of German unity.

The focus of the show is on people who took their courage to change their lives, to bring down a communist dictatorship, to foster freedom and democracy, thus changing the face of Europe forever.

At the GDR Secret Police headquarters in Berlin-Lichtenberg, up to 7,000 full-time Stasi employees worked, Stasi Minister Erich Mielke from 1962 to 1989 worked in "Haus 1", today's Stasi Museum.
