News from the Plush Matrix - The ultimate puppet program that keeps evolving. When he performs, he suddenly becomes invisible. He lets his puppets slip into roles that are unsurpassable in virtuosity and liveliness.
illions of internet users and thousands of live spectators already know him. With his program: "Ze Hage!" René Marik is touring Germany again this year, with his puppets in his luggage, first and foremost of course Mole, the frog Falkenhorst and Kalle the polar bear.
It all started about ten years ago with a few videos that René recorded with the simplest of means at one of his shows and posted on YouTube. These videos spread like wildfire. The Mole became a viral phenomenon. What followed paved the way for a new branch in the comedy genre: puppetry for adults.
In just a few years, René Marik, who holds a degree in puppetry, went from being a YouTube phenomenon to a permanent fixture on the German entertainment scene. His quirky as well as affectionate and unique puppet comedy brought him countless sold-out shows, multiple platinum awards for the DVDs, a feature film and, above all, endless applause!
In 2012, René Marik took an artistic break to gather new strength. But soon the plushy stage heroes were able to convince their Master of Puppet Nonsense René that the energy of a live show and the direct contact with the audience are important parts of his life. And so René Marik returned to German stages in 2015 with new adventures.
In his program "ZeHage!" he presents new adventures of Mole and Co, combined with the most popular puppet numbers from the last 10 years. René Marik also regularly adds new numbers, and so the story of these all-too-human hand puppets continues to be told. One thing is clear: The Mole has long been a permanent fixture in the cultural canon and it is impossible to imagine German-speaking stages without it.
