A roundtable with the descendants

The exhibition Biographies of Modernism presents eight Jewish collectors who supported the Brücke artists in their time. The starting point of the presentation is provenance research.

The exhibition honors the collectors for their commitment to modern art and reminds us of the injustice done to them by the National Socialists.

The focus of this event is on the perspectives of the heirs and descendants of the eight Jewish collectors.

On the last day of the exhibition, it allows itself a look back and forward:

Rafael Cardoso, Rebecca Friedman and Jason Osborn - three important protagonists in the context of the exhibition and the associated provenance research - share their impressions and personal experiences with the exhibition project in the Brücke Museum.

The conversation is framed by a welcome from the director of the Brücke Museum, Lisa Marei Schmidt.
