With his unmistakable art, Natschinski created unforgettable melodies that still ring in the ears of many today. In August 2023, this legendary musician would have celebrated his 95th birthday. Gerd Natschinski, a master of melody, enchanted with hits such as "Zwei gute Freunde" (Fred Frohberg, 1957), "Damals" (Bärbel Wachholz, 1959) and "Rom-ta-rom" (Regina Thoss, 1971).

His creative diversity is reflected in works such as the operetta "Messeschlager Gisela" (1960) and the first GDR musical "Mein Freund Bunbury" (1964), realized with the talented librettists Jürgen Degenhardt and Helmut Bez. Natschinski influenced an entire generation with his children's and youth songs as well as his unique role in GDR entertainment music of the 1960s and 70s. His commitment as director of the Berlin Metropol Theater from 1978 to 1981 testifies to his diverse talent.

His son Lukas also follows this tradition, continuing his family's musical legacy. Experience Lukas Natschinski at the piano, where he plays his father's most popular melodies, sings well-known songs and shares personal stories from his father's life.
