Quest for Women Friedrichshain*

The route covers about 4 kilometres and includes five stations where the biographies of

• Tamara Danz, a rock singer and regime critic in the GDR,
  
• Annemirl Bauer, a dissident artist,
  
• Gabriele Tergit, a Jewish journalist in exile,
  
• Ludmilla Herzenstein, a critical architect in the GDR,
  
• Hildegard Jadamowitz, a resistance fighter against the Nazis,
  
• 
  

visible and tangible.

At the beginning, participants receive a brochure with a city map, tasks and the biographies of the women presented. There are creative or literary tasks at each station, accompanied by local contacts. For example, we will listen to some of Tamara Danz's songs at Tamara-Danz-Straße, take part in art activities at Annemirl-Bauer-Platz and Karl-Marx-Allee, or take part in a writing workshop.

The joint finale will take place at the Asman bakery (Hildegard-Jadamowitz-Straße) from 2 p.m. Certificates and small prizes will be presented there – among others by the Berlin authors Claudia von Gélieu and Tanja Dückers.
