The Queenz of Piano take their audience on a journey through the winter wonderland between tradition and modernity, between pop and classical, between contemplation and cheerfulness.
Jennifer Rüth and Pauline Gropp perform Christmas songs and winter songs from all over the world.
Tchaikovsky's Sugar Plum Fairy catches dancing snowflakes in the bright glittering morning sun. In the American Christmas classic ‘Carol of the Bells’, the fingers whirl over the keys like a snowstorm. Christmas hits like ‘Hallelujah’ and ‘Last Christmas’ appear in a completely new guise and sound like a melancholy dream on a starry winter's night.
Classics like ‘Drummer Boy’ and ‘Silent Night’ warm the hearts of the audience like a crackling fireplace.
With songs from faraway countries, the Queenz of Piano walk along newly discovered winter paths, while their original compositions ‘December Song’ and ‘Reminiscence’ give the evening a very personal touch.
The two piano virtuosos charmingly sweeten the cold season on their (angel) wings.
