Thomas Quasthoff has graced the stages of the world's most prestigious concert halls, from Carnegie Hall to the Berlin Philharmonic, working with the most respected orchestras and conductors.
His interpretations of songs have been hailed as "groundbreaking" and have earned him numerous awards, including Grammys, Echoes and international awards. Thomas Quasthoff is undoubtedly considered one of the most outstanding bass-baritones of our time.
Twelve years ago he dared to break away from classical music and launched two more impressive careers, both of which are successful at the highest level. As a jazz musician, Quasthoff has worked with the greats of this genre in various formations. At the same time, he is in great demand as a teacher at the Hanns Eisler University of Music. Young singers from all over the world apply to learn from his experience, his advice, his wit and his lightness.
Now he is returning to the Schlosspark Theater for the second time with the best students in his class and is creating a new genre: the master class concert. This event offers a mix of lessons, concerts and conversations, possibly even with the opera stars of tomorrow.
