This one-day, 4-hour workshop offers the opportunity to create a handmade abstract wall decoration. Led by textile artist Lillian Morrissey, this beginner-friendly course focuses on punch needle basics and simple design using a collage of abstract shapes, making it ideal for those new to the craft.

Punch Needle Basics Kurs
During the relaxed session, held in Lillian’s unique industrial loft studio in Berlin, participants will create a 35x60 cm wall hanging using pre-dyed fabric and a selection of vibrant yarns. The course begins with a brief introduction to design and colour theory, followed by easy-to-follow instructions for designing and stitching an abstract composition of simple geometric and organic shapes.
This workshop provides an excellent introduction to textile art, whether the goal is to explore punch needle techniques, enjoy a creative DIY project, or simply relax. With all materials, including punch needles, fabric, and yarn, provided, participants can start stitching immediately—no prior experience is required.
This course is ideal for those who prefer a simplified version of the more in-depth workshop.
It forgoes detailed theory on design and composition, focusing on creating something beautiful with just a few shapes and colours. Suitable for anyone over the age of 10, it also offers options for family participation, private group workshops with friends, or gift vouchers for future sessions.
