The imaginative and humorous music show with the terrible-beautiful songs from the GDR

Those songs that were sung in the GDR, not because Ulbricht and Honecker had ordered them, but because they were beautiful and part of life, its happiness and its sadness - and which, even if the current mainstream ignores them, are part of the indestructible musical dregs of entire generations.

Leading his beat ensemble from the piano, Putensen weaves a loose chain of songs from kindergarten and school, from hits and rock ballads to "Kessel Buntes", spiced with verbal, intelligent barbs against East and West. Perhaps a little more against the West with its political correctness.

Musically atmospheric, ironic, cheeky, sometimes modern, sometimes with original old-fashioned charm, of course there is a tiny glimmer of transfiguration now and then. But this has nothing to do with botched Ostalgie, but is a plea for the natural right to live their memories, at least musical ones.

And of course singing along is expressly encouraged.

The theater is open from 6:30 p.m.
