The head of the education department will guide you through the museum's permanent exhibition and the prayer room of the present-day synagogue community in a knowledgeable and entertaining way.
Discover the multi-faceted history of the New Synagogue, from its opening in 1866 in the presence of Otto von Bismarck, to its destruction in the Second World War and its reconstruction at the turn of the century.
On your journey through the past, you will meet courageous policemen, prophets, pioneering rabbis and trace stories that are literally inscribed in the walls and objects of the New Synagogue.
