The "Object of the Month" is a presentation in the salon of the Ephraim-Palais Museum, open to the public free of charge on all opening days. The rotating objects on display present new acquisitions, provide insights into projects of the Berlin City Museum, or tell stories from Berlin's past.
Until this Sunday, a melted metal chandelier commemorates the Battle of Berlin from April 16 to May 2, 1945. It comes from the collection of the Märkisches Museum and bears witness to the destruction of World War II in Berlin, which also claimed many cultural assets.
