Henry Arnold

From 1927 to 1933, trumpeter Tim played on the ocean liner “Virginian” with the best pianist of all time in the on-board jazz band. Tim tells the story of Danny Boodman T.D. Lemon Novecento, who was found on the ship as an orphan and never left the ship.

In comic and tragic episodes, the audience meets the crew and passengers; the whole world is a guest on board. The ship becomes a metaphor for life.

Alessandro Baricco's monologue, published in 1994, became a global success and was made into a film in 1998 by Giuseppe Tornatore with music by Ennio Morricone.

Now the ocean pianist is coming to the Pfefferberg in a new production from the Hofspielhaus Munich with the actor and musician Henry Arnold.

A poetic sea voyage with an unforgettable story.
