In its forty years of existence, the theatre du pain has continued to refine its original style. The use of language and music is unmistakable. The formation has performed at countless festivals in German-speaking countries, received awards (including the Prix Pantheon), but despite its success, has not given up its subversion.
In this production, the trio is working again with Jean Laurent Sasportes, a choreographer from Wuppertal who joined Pina Bausch's company in 1979.
