chamber music with harpsichord and baroque oboe
On January 19, 2025, the concert entitled "Musique d'ameublement" will open the new year's music series in the Johann Sebastian Bach Church. Church musician Sabine Erdmann on the harpsichord will be accompanied that evening by Antje Thierbach on the baroque oboe.

Look forward to the works of Philidor, Hotteterre, Couperin and Satie - the inventor of "Musique d'ameublement", which means something like "furniture music" or "interior design music".
In a letter to Jean Cocteau in 1920, Erik Satie explained:
"Musique d'ameublement creates vibrations without having any other purpose. It fulfills the same role as light, warmth and comfort in all its variations."
