A journey back in time to the origins of today's Christmas traditions awaits you on three floors. The library and the cozy living room, where old Christmas songs and stories ring out to the Christmas scent of cinnamon and cookies, are particularly atmospheric.
Let yourself be enchanted by historical Christmas decorations and toys, displayed in lovingly designed display cases.
A special Christmas audio guide accompanies you. Live speakers in the museum can provide you with further information on request.

Sunday in the Nikolaiviertel
With this action day, the Berlin City Museum is following on from the popular Museum Sunday, which unfortunately cannot be continued in 2025 due to austerity measures by the Berlin Senate.
On the first Sunday of the month, they instead offer a special, wide-ranging program for everyone in their three museums in the Nikolaiviertel - families in particular are warmly invited.
So you can continue to look forward to great offers in the Ephraim-Palais Museum, the Nikolaikirche Museum and the Knoblauchhaus Museum!
Even if admission can no longer be free for everyone, it will at least remain so for many: The solidarity pricing model offers free admission for visitors with proof of a discount, for example for children and young people under 18, students, trainees, those doing FSJ, FÖJ and BFD, for severely disabled people, refugees, recipients of citizen's allowance or ALG I and many others.
Everyone else only pays for museum admission and can benefit from the discounted combination ticket for all three museums. The extensive action day program is included in the price.
