‘We defy the seriousness of the concert hall, the grey everyday life of a musician, sworn-in melomaniacs, but also rock, rap and pop fans who flee from classical music. We treat our mother, music, with wit and irony and are sure that she will not hold it against us.’ The quartet's way of reaching a wide audience is unique worldwide.
The gentlemen of the MozART group have been playing together since 1995. In the beginning, they performed short musical sketches on Polish television. In 1997, they gave their first concert at the competition for young Polish cabaret artists in Krakow, which they won at the first go. In the same year, their first cabaret programme entitled ‘Mozart is still alive’ was created.
Since then, their success has continued to grow at home and abroad, taking the MozART group literally to every corner of the world. Each show is a never-ending series of surprises, a firework of ingenious ideas and respectful treatment of the musical material. In recent years, the MozART group has not only toured Europe, North America and Asia, but has also given 65 concerts in front of over 32,000 visitors at the Bobino Theatre in Paris. Most recently, in 2024, they toured Japan and enjoyed more than 12,000 spectators in ten shows.
‘Crazy but ingenious!’ is how a critic described the concert review a few years ago, and it's a timelessly apt description.
