The toughest award show in Europe
On August 31, 2024, the METAL HAMMER AWARDS will return after a corona-related break with their eleventh edition, presented for the first time by and as part of the IFA. Since 2009, Germany's leading magazine for heavy metal has been awarding these coveted trophies in various categories.

Uber Eats Music Hall
Rock icons such as Metallica, Slipknot, Slayer and Motörhead, as well as promising newcomers, have been honored by the METAL HAMMER editorial team in recent years and appeared on the famous "black carpet" and the award stage.
This year, too, the longlist and line-up of the METAL HAMMER AWARDS 2024 presented by IFA is packed with top-class rock acts and numerous guests from the entertainment and music industries.
A special highlight of the award show on August 31, 2024 in the Uber Eats Music Hall in Berlin will be the concert by Saltatio Mortis, one of the most successful German metal bands.
Cello metallers Apocalyptica will perform a tribute to Metallica, while Lordi will rock the hall with their monstrous costumes and anthemic hard rock. Berlin-based post-hardcore band Future Palace will be the warm-up act for this award-winning evening.
This year, the spectacular awards ceremony will be held in collaboration with IFA for the first time, bringing two anniversaries together:
The former Internationale Funkausstellung, now known as Innovation For All, is celebrating its 100th anniversary, while METAL HAMMER is celebrating its 40th birthday and 500th edition.
