Play development by Gregory Caers and Ensemble

In a mysterious waiting room, different people meet. Each brings their own story, habits, and questions to the world.

But what are they waiting for? What really drives these people? What do they consider "normal"? And – much more exciting – who actually decides what is normal? Did they invent these norms and rules themselves, or is there perhaps something greater hovering above them?

In "Mensch," everyday certainties begin to waver, and suddenly nothing is as it seems. With plenty of humor, the play holds up a mirror to how we treat each other and what consequences this could have for our future and our survival.

In his productions, Belgian theater director Gregory Caers relies on a richly imaginative theatrical language that uses few words and offers plenty of room for imagination. His play "Python Perfume and Chocolates from Psomewhere" was presented at the Theater an der Parkaue during the 2021/2022 season.
