Contemporary operetta

The contemporary operetta "MAX & MORITZ ReVamped" isn't a daring attempt to break social taboos – rather, GRUPPE:7 devotes itself devotedly to the Busch texts and asks: What's the deal with Max and Moritz?

What happens in the story about the "bad boys" that everyone accepts so easily, but which is actually quite unbearable? Why did they become the way they are (will boys be boys?), and is the village community itself ultimately incredibly murderous?

Inspired by the sounds of Viennese operetta, the collective brings an interdisciplinary work to the stage – undulating waves and video installations surround the performers on their journey through the world of pranks. In the fragmented reality of the 21st century, there is no longer a village community – only the virtual community, investment rebels, and occult algorithms.

This leads one to wonder: What actually happened to Max and Moritz? And are they still alive today?
