The Cologne singer-songwriter Max Goedecke will present his new folk-rock album "Broke, but happy (at Lake Success)" that evening, with the first singles of which he already achieved initial success at the Davos Songbird / Singing City Festival in December 2023 .

Somewhere between the Eifel village life and the Cologne Südstadt feeling, Max goes around with his guitar every day between the Voreifel and the Cologne suburbs to offer people his street music - and has been doing this for more than 5 years now. The musician only discovered his passion for travel after completing his physics studies: at the time, bored with the 9 to 5 job, Max decided to pursue his youthful dreams of the romanticized rock star life and earned his spurs and, above all, life experiences as a street musician and traveler all over Europe: something like an experiment in London, Covent Garden, took him from Lisbon's Alfama terraces to Rome's former bathing paradise Lido Di Ostia to Barcelona's Park Güell - and of course many stops in between. He always had his debut album Newspeak in his backpack for sale, which he recorded and recorded entirely himself - during his final thesis in physics.

All of his street performances and adventures are captured on his Instagram account tas_phania, where he has built a loyal fan base. Now - after years of musical discovery and discovery - Max has released his first singer-songwriter record "Broke, but happy (at Lake Success)" in May 2024, which he once again produced entirely himself in order to create a self-portrait and as producer to grow.

Influenced by artists such as Neil Young, Nick Drake and Bob Dylan, the first two singles “Dear Brave New World” and “On The Road” already suggest a collection of charmingly intimate acoustic ballads reminiscent of 70s singer-songwriter records remember. The whole album was produced with the idea in mind of making it noticeable with the help of loops and accompanying tracks for a versatile live show and also to bring solo action to the stage!
