Marion Brasch: Winterkind und Herr Jemineh

“One cold winter morning the girl Winter Child woke up in the winter city. She rubbed her eyes, yawned, stretched and waited. But nothing happened. She yawned and stretched again, but still nothing happened. It wasn't until Winter Child had yawned and stretched for the third time that a complaining voice spoke up. “Jeez! Stop it, I’m already awake!”

So begins the adventurous story of Winter Child and Mr. Jemineh - a finger-long man with a hat who lives in Winter Child's pocket. Although Mr. Jemineh is usually in a bad mood, he is the best friend Winter Child has. And sometimes he has an idea when the girl doesn't know what to do next. The two meet interesting people, find magical things and finally board a ship that will take them to the ends of the world. They learn about happy and sad feelings and that you can do funny things with words.
