The exhibition “Ostria – South Wind” by Marco Kaufmann (*1975) invites visitors to immerse themselves in a magical world of light, color and movement. Inspired by the Mediterranean atmosphere and the artist’s creative process, the title captures the warm, humid south wind that carries sand from the Sahara across the Mediterranean.

This wind conveys the feeling of the last hot days on a Greek island – a summery echo that bridges the winter cold in Germany.
Marco Kaufmann’s new works build on his previous work while opening up fresh perspectives. As in the previous exhibition “Elsewhere”, the focus here is on the artistic process: a dynamic game between control and chance. This time, the heat and lightness of the south are combined with the reflection and depth that make his works unmistakable.
