A production of the "Ensemble Angestrahl" the TheaterJugendClub of the Theater Strahl

:Inspired by the graphic novel “The Colors of Memory” by Barbara Yelin, the TheaterJugendClub — the Angestrahlt ensemble — is developing a play in collaboration with the Ravensbrück Memorial about the life story of Emmie Arbel, who survived the Ravensbrück concentration camp as a child.

Together with director Sharon On, theater educator Julie Tiepermann and actresses Natascha Manthe and Lisa Brinckmann, the participants grapple with the question of how one can continue to live with painful memories and how Emmie was able to maintain her strength and humor despite all the catastrophes.

During the rehearsal process, they meet international artists such as the performer and rapper Dan Wolf and research the history of the women's concentration camp on site at the Ravensbrück Memorial.

The play will be performed in June both on the stage of Theater Strahl and at the Ravensbrück Memorial.
