Reading and discussion with cultural scientist Ottmar Ette
In his recently published novel "My Name is Amo", Ottmar Ette devotes himself to the thinker "without a fixed abode" Anton Wilhelm Amo (around 1700-1784). His mysterious poodle accompanies him through all stages of his life, from slavery to academic rise as a philosopher in Sanssouci and Halle.
A conversation with the author about the first German-speaking black philosopher of the 18th century. Bless Amada reads excerpts from the novel.
