Enjoy a spontaneous concert during your lunch break - and admission is free: From September to June, a 40 to 50-minute concert takes place every Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the Philharmonie.
The varied program offers a wide range of chamber music and piano pieces to percussion duos, from Tchaikovsky to tango. Members of the Berlin Philharmonic or the Karajan Academy can often be heard, as well as guests from the German Symphony Orchestra, the Staatskapelle Berlin or the Berlin music academies.
To match this, high-quality and affordable catering is offered from 12 p.m. until shortly before the concert begins.
Today Juliana Zara and Marlene Heiß are playing songs by Leonard Bernstein, Lili Boulanger, Viktor Ullmann and Kurt Weill.
