Few people are aware that the protest of environmental groups in the GDR contributed significantly to the collapse of the regime. The desire for transparent information and concern about health damage and the destruction of nature has motivated many people to work for change. Often, this commitment was associated with the risk of coming into conflict with state institutions. However, environmental pollution was so severe that many people joined the protest and dared to criticise in other areas as well.

The Berlin office, including a light installation on the Berlin Wall fragment, will be shown during the tour.
