Tour with Markus Kitzberger (EvFBS) of the Georgen-Parochial II Cemetery. During the tour, you will learn fascinating facts about the cemetery as a natural and cultural space, about its management, and how to address the challenges of monument preservation and climate protection.

You will learn about the measures already implemented for climate adaptation and stormwater management, receive tips for low-maintenance and climate-appropriate grave design, and learn how to become a grave sponsor.

The Protestant cemeteries between Landsberger Allee and Friedenstraße, established from 1848 onwards, are green oases in the heart of the district. In addition to their primary function as places of burial and remembrance, which are still active today, they are ecologically valuable areas and beneficial for the urban climate.

The remarkable monuments along the cemetery walls, including old mausoleums, wall graves, and lattice graves, are an additional source of fascination.
