From 21. to 22. November 2024 the two-day festival will feature a series of readings by both German and international writers working across linguistic boundaries.


A joint poetry reading and conversation on translation and writing between languages with Uljana Wolf, a German poet and translator, and Volha Hapeyeva, a Belarusian poet, novelist, and essayist in exile, will open the festival.

Irish author Naoise Dolan will discuss her novels Exciting Times (2020) and The Happy Couple (2023), which explore the challenging love and working life of the Millennial generation.

A novel reading and conversation by Jenny Erpenbeck, renowned German novelist, playwright, and International Booker Prize winner (2024) for her novel Kairos, with her father, acclaimed scientist and writer John Erpenbeck; they will discuss their respective careers in the GDR and in Germany after the fall of the Berlin Wall, the history of their family, and the relationship between their literary or scholarly work and recent social changes.
