A festival choir was founded especially for the 50th anniversary of the Lehnin Summer Music Festival, which will showcase its talent in numerous concerts. At the opening concert on May 30th, the festival choir, together with the Lehniner Kantorei and the Bravoer Brass Band from Tervuren – Lehnin's Belgian partner municipality – will provide a musical spectacle with performances of works arranged for brass band.

The choir will perform the "Introit" from Monteverdi's Vespers of the Virgin Mary and the "Hallelujah" from Handel's Messiah.
Following the concert, there will be a communal "Dîner en blanc" (white dinner) for all participants and the audience. The audience and the choir members are asked to bring food for the buffet. Tables, benches, wine, and water will be available. The opening of the Lehnin Summer Music Festival 2025 draws to a close on this May evening under the avenue trees in front of the monastery church.
The festival choir will also perform Handel's "Messiah" (September 6) and the closing concert with Handel's oratorio "Samson" (October 5).
