with Johannes Hallervorden
During a nice dinner with friends, "the last smoker" is banished to the balcony to smoke a cigarette - and suddenly discovers that the cheerful group of non-smokers has moved on to the next bar and forgotten him outside.
Equipped with 28 cigarettes and a case of wine, he prepares for a long night. The past passes by him in the blue smoke of tobacco.
What it was like to smoke your first fag, what the famous cigarette ‘after’ is all about, why all attempts to free yourself from this vice failed and how it feels to fall out of society more and more.
The later the evening, the fuller the ashtray, and as the supply dwindles, so does the initial composure of the ‘Marlboro cowboy’.
The result is a tragicomic confession to the cigarette: sometimes philosophical, sometimes political, sometimes erotic, sometimes wistful, often rebellious - and of course extremely politically incorrect.
A humorous evening about the pitfalls of smoking.
