An exciting journey back in time to the Roman Empire
The new exhibition "The Last Days of Pompeii" shows the last hours of the Roman city of Pompeii, which was buried by the eruption of the volcano Vesuvius in 79 AD. The residents slid into the catastrophe without warning, only a few were able to save themselves. Under many layers of ash and pumice that the volcano spewed out on that unfortunate day, lively Roman everyday life was preserved in one fell swoop.
Using modern technology, the history of Pompeii comes to life in a playful way and becomes an experience for all the senses.
Captivating virtual reality experiences allow visitors to literally immerse themselves in the magnificent city and witness a civilisation that was fundamental to human progress.
