Languages represented include those from the Indo-European family (Sanskrit, Tocharian, etc.), the Sino-Tibetan language family (Chinese, Tibetan, Tangut), the Turkic language family (Old Turkic), the Mongolian language family, and the Afro-Asiatic language family (Syro-Aramaic) are represented.

Language Families is an alternating presentation in the permanent exhibition Art from the Northern Silk Road of the Museum für Asiatische Kunst, in the dome room, Room 317
