Why don't we do what we know?

Many people are often aware of the burden of good intentions. They usually know what would be good for their health and well-being, but implementing it is difficult. This also applies with regard to the climate crisis.

There is already experience with extreme weather events such as heavy rain, heat waves and droughts, and climate scientists around the world are providing valid climate data. Most people understand that the issue is of global importance and affects everyone. On a political and economic level as well as in our personal lifestyle.

But why don't people implement what they know? The KLIMA_X exhibition addresses these questions and encourages people to actively contribute to saving the climate in a variety of ways.

At the beginning, the exhibition offers insights into climate facts and encourages you to explore a personal type of change. She analyzes different forms of address and takes a look at the history of climate communication with major campaigns since the 1950s.

She tells inspiring stories of climate pioneers who have gone through successful change processes.

In the “feasible” section, local initiatives show how diverse and concrete everyone can become active. The “Exchange Bar” is not just about talking, but also about the practical exchange of everyday objects. Visitors learn how to argue against climate change deniers and reflect on the active role they can play in climate protection.

The extensive event program invites you to find out more, discuss, exchange ideas, start initiatives and take concrete action.
