Together with his brother Pål, he writes pieces that are already too perfect, whose mood is so clear and beautiful, whose sounds are so rounded that they always need an ironic refraction. This happens subliminally on record, more unequivocally on stage, because there the band transforms into an animal and breaks the songs down into driving, danceable, wild tracks.
And that's why it's still true: Kakkmaddafakka are a band for the stage. The spectacular shows of the friendly Scandinavians are what make the sextet. Only live does everything make sense, whether in small clubs or in front of 50,000 fans, at festivals or in the backyard.
