At the age of 31, his search for his own sound world has proven successful, which can be clearly heard at concerts and on records.

A lot has happened in the last 12 years and Jesper Munk's story is one of many ups and downs, from bluesy supernova to hip but underrated crooner, from teenage poster boy to established and seasoned singer/songwriter.

Jesper Munk! In 2024, the German-Danish artist who lives in Berlin will start again in all its facets. So he reconciled himself with parts of his early work, especially to the great delight of his blues fans, whom he was able to inspire right at the beginning of his career, including as tour support for Eric Burdon. Which is why everyone who sorely missed classics from “Morning Coffee” to “Clean” to “Shakespeare And Heartbreak” and “Courage For Love” at his concerts in recent years will now get their money’s worth again.

In 2019, Jesper Munk founded the post-punk/kink-jazz underground band P.D.O.A. (Public Display Of Affection) and shortly afterwards joined the Berlin art noise cult band Plattenbau. Both bands definitely had a positive influence on the musical horizon and the future prospects of his solo career.

Jesper Munk has also recorded a new album. After the highly praised cover album “Taped Heart Sounds”, this time again with their own song material. “YESTERDAZE” will be released with its delicate lo-fi-to-hi-fi production that will warm the soul and heart of every indie aficionado, and which Jesper Munk took into his own hands this time, in October 2024. Then a colorful bunch of crooners somewhere between jazz and new wave, chanson, ballad-like blues and lots of soul. He was once again supported by The Cassette Heads, who will also accompany him live on tour.
