BLUME plays with such intensity that you often have to fear for the musicians: risky improvisation is just as much the order of the day as complex and tricky compositions, licks and automatisms are deliberately avoided.
When the trumpet and saxophone allow the melodic blossoms to drift too far, the bass and guitar seek harmonic ground again and the musical growths are rhythmically grounded.
