Works by Brahms, Schumann, Webern, and Kurtág
Following an acclaimed performance of Baroque repertoire last season, Isabelle Faust returns with a program that reveals a completely different side of her musical personality.
Together with pianist Alexander Melnikov, a close collaborator since the beginning of her international career, she explores three large-scale Romantic sonatas by Johannes Brahms and Robert Schumann in a fascinating juxtaposition with exquisite miniatures by Webern and Kurtág.
- Johannes Brahms - Sonata for Clarinet and Piano in E-flat major Op. 120 No. 2, Arrangement for Violin and Piano
- Anton Webern - Four Pieces for Violin and Piano Op. 7
- Johannes Brahms - Sonata for Clarinet and Piano in F minor Op. 120 No. 1, Arrangement for Violin and Piano
- György Kurtág - Tre pezzi for Violin and Piano Op. 14e
- Robert Schumann - Sonata for Violin and Piano No. 2 in D minor Op. 121
