The exhibition deals specifically with the Wall and the stories of many individuals who were moved to flee by the Wall.
The centrepiece of the project, whose accompanying publication has won several awards, is formed by around 1000 horizontal sequences and individual images from the photo collection of the border troops of the former GDR, which visualise the entire course of the Wall around West Berlin from the perspective of the builders. The original version was expanded and modified for the exhibition in the Wall Memorial.
