For Jazz Week we present the quartet Müller&Mahall, which performs collections of adaptations of the finest selected material and pieces from the bop and jazz tradition in a modern style and contemporary arrangement. Benjamin Lehmann (represented by Rodolfo Paccapelo) and Uli Jenneßen are recommended for the rough dirty work on bass and drums. This form of sophisticated jazz is designed and played in the contemporary Berlin style: inimitably sexy and clever. In addition to creating musical delights, the band also sees itself as an illuminator of the historically under-observed conglomerate of music, the inner struggle and fashion, the "outer presentation".
