Discover the fascinating art of Ikebana, which originated in Japan and translates as "living flower". Immerse yourself in the world of flower arranging, in which plant remnants, branches, flowers, grasses, berries or fruit are combined to create new living plant arrangements.

In contrast to lavish European floristry, in Ikebana we value the empty space between the objects just as much as the visible water in the containers. We use garden waste, which we give a new meaning through upcycling. These materials, often overlooked by the wayside, become treasures that we look at and use with mindfulness.

Discover the natural cycles of plants, soil and bokashi with us.  Develop mindfulness and attention for the nature around us through concentrated creative work for body, mind and soul. Come and enjoy the fun and relaxation of collecting materials and be inspired by the beauty and harmony of Ikebana art. See nature with new eyes.

The four-hour educational programme is divided into three parts (incl. break):

  • Theoretical introduction to Ikebana
  • Viewing and individual collection of plants, branches, stones, fruits, feathers etc. with information from the instructor
  • Creation of an Ikebana arrangement under expert guidance in a protected space
This programme is aimed at adults.
