Drop-in workshop

What will democracy look like in the future? In the Futurium Lab there is the opportunity to deal with the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for all people.

In this format, you can develop your own ideas and concepts for desirable futures. What are the demands on the democracy of tomorrow?

With the laser cutter, participants create stencils, spray stencils, to bring their demands into the real world. A fictional scenario is about democracy and AI applications with facial recognition. To protect your own identity from this observation and facial recognition, you can design anti-facial recognition masks and camouflage them with different patterns.

The mentors support the participants in implementing their ideas and show how the laser cutter works. There are helpful learning materials for this.

The drop-in format is open and different from classic workshops. The plan is for you to spend around 20 minutes in the lab to have your first contact with the technology and the future topic. If it is particularly full, it may happen that not all participants can try out all the stations. So be flexible and use the opportunity to get involved in the exciting topics!
