The Oracle
By Dan Ghenacia and the Alpha Wave Experience Collective
The Oracle is a transformative installation that merges light, sound and mind into an immersive, meditative experience. Conceived by Dan Ghenacia and implemented by the Alpha Wave Experience Collective, this installation takes participants into inner worlds, stimulated by flickering light patterns and multi-layered soundscapes.
The Oracle sculpture floats in its space and uses rotating light patterns to stimulate the alpha brainwave frequencies associated with relaxation and creativity. Participants lie relaxed with their eyes closed under the installation while the light pulses create vibrant colors, geometric shapes and complex patterns in the mind.
The visual spectacle is accompanied by a finely tuned 3D soundscape designed by Dan Ghenacia and Javier Ferrer. This audio-visual combination enables a profound experience that is often compared to introspective journeys such as an ayahuasca ceremony, with The Oracle acting as a "shaman".
First developed for the Lille3000 Art Fair and already presented at prestigious venues such as CENTQUATRE-PARIS and El Silencio Ibiza, The Oracle has delighted tens of thousands of visitors. It stands at the intersection of art, meditation and psychedelia, enabling relaxation and exploration of the subconscious in an impressive way.
ad/ab Atom
by Ryoichi Kurokawa
ad/ab Atom is a fascinating audiovisual installation based on nanodata and microscopically captured materials in which the laws of quantum mechanics rule. The work consists of an arrangement of 7ch/5ch displays and a 4ch multi-sound system. The innovative structure of the displays creates uniform phase shifts through their twisted arrangement.
The image data obtained using electron microscopy and scanning probe technologies, as well as computer-generated data such as 2D and 3D diagrams and mathematical models, are analyzed, filtered and artistically alienated. These subvisual elements are translated into perceptible phenomena and arranged into an impressive audiovisual composition.
