For almost 30 years, New York vocalist Fay Victor has dedicated herself to the compositions of the pioneering jazz composer Herbie Nichols, who died young, for which she wrote her own song texts.
Together with Misha Mengelberg, Rosell Rudd, in a trio with Tobias Delius and Achim Kaufmann and above all with her long-standing formation Herbie Nichols SUNG, she has performed her interpretations of Nichols' music, most recently on the highly acclaimed album Life Is Funny That Way.
In the Industriesalon, Fay Victor will present this program to the Berlin audience together with four outstanding improvisers and musical companions.
