Rita Mahlendorf and Henry-Martin Klemt
Rita Mahlendorf and Henry-Martin Klemt take their audience on a poetic search for clues. It's about life and love. They accompany you to places that are home to them and tell of magical places and moments. For the “fellow travelers”, recognition quickly sets in, touching personal histories, their own homelands and even almost forgotten spaces. So let's set off together on a poetic and musical lesson in local history.
Rita Mahlendorf (poet and social pedagogue) writes poetry and prose texts in which there are always surprising tipping points that show the depths of a moment or a story, which are always lovingly told and often make you smile. Rita Mahlendorf plays saxophone and accompanies the event musically. Her book “Heimatkunde”, which gave the reading its title, was published in 2023.
Henry-Martin Klemt (poet, journalist, editor) has already published more than ten volumes of poetry. He publishes in newspapers, magazines and anthologies. His poetry is close to current affairs and at the same time a poetic broadening of horizons, committed, deeply human and empathetic, tender and powerful, loving and melancholic.
